Commissioned by @millertheatreatcu and @newmusicusa composer @chriscerrone wrote the piece for grammy-award winning flutist, @timothymunro, which was inspired by John K. Samson's poem of the same name.

Patrick Eakin Young, of Soundworlds, an audio stage for diverse stories told in different ways, asked librettist and playwright @stephaniefleischmann to interweave narrative throughLiminal Highway’s shimmering flute and electronic pulse. In response to the music, Fleischmann envisions a a woman chasing an unknown figure through an urban dreamscape.

Evoking the fragile hope that a state of limbo can afford - between sleeping and waking, this piece will allow us to sit within the ‘in-between’ place and reflect on the elasticity of our own lives.
